“We see religions as social groups. Not as abstract teachings or scripture.

Religion is not just scripture.
So, observe how people interpret their scripture to justify and explain violent attitudes and behaviors.
Observing is not the same as judging.
And we aim to be descriptive not prescriptive.
All religions are internally diverse.
There is no such thing as a purely: “religion of peace” or “religion of war”,
“religion of violence” or “religion of non-violence”.
All Families, all social groups, all religions have violence. -There are no exceptions.
By violence, I refer to physical actions intended to harm the recipient.
Violence is not necessarily wrong, or immoral, or unjustified. Violence may be justified, or excused, or tolerated… Because of self-defense, retaliation, collective punishment, revenge, retribution, and so on.
It’s important to learn and read about the violence interwoven in all religions.”-Zannaki.
