Lucifuge Rofocale is an entity of daemonic shadows and Infernal essence, a lowborn daemon in nature, whose name has been interpreted as “the one who escapes the light” (the false light). He has sometimes been classified as the shadow or opposite force of Lucifer (the Light-Bringer) or Satan. However, this statement is not entirely accurate, as He is a spiritual emanation from the shadows of Satan -not a reflection of Satan.
Born and engendered as a pure daemon -not a fallen angel- His nature is wholly Infernal. His role and power are most widely recognized as that of the Daemon Lord in charge of Infernal Pacts, though His aptitudes and skills are numerous.
He can assist the dark adept in almost every area: wealth and luck, fame and popularity, dark power, sex, curses & punishment, dark ascension, and the revelation of treasures and secrets of every kind -including magickal ones.
He is one of the ancient entities summoned during the Black Sabbath, and has been presented to many occult practitioners and witches throughout history.
His names are many: Rofocale, Lucifage, Leonard, etc. The name “Lucifuge” acts as a title of power and a descriptive role-mask, as it is in fact more accurate to call Him Leonard or Rofocale.
Leonard, also known as Lucifuge Rofocale among many other names in occult traditions, is recognized as the Grand Master of the witches’ Sabbaths. In demonology and esoteric lore, He is considered the overseer of Infernal pacts and agreements, present at all major rituals where mortals seek to commune with daemonic forces.
Leonard is a shapeshifter, capable of taking many forms. He may appear as a black bird, a withered tree, or any ominous entity. However, He most commonly manifests as a man with cat like or reptilian eyes, crowned with three large horns, a form that symbolizes both His sacred origin, brutal power, and Infernal status.
Leonard is highly intelligent, cunning, and manipulative, able of offering knowledge, power, or wealth in exchange for loyalty or even for the adept´s servitude after their death.
He is a gatekeeper of deeper occult initiation, allowing those who dare to cross moral boundaries access to arcane knowledge. His name frequently appears in grimoires such as the Dictionnaire Infernal and the Grand Grimoire, where He is ranked among the most powerful daemonic authorities.
As a curiosity, He is related (akin) to Kuut’Lur, and in fact they share certain similarities. Lucifuge, for example, can also emanate Black Light from His Third Eye like smoke made of shadows, and He possesses that obscure and peculiar aura -a unique and powerful dark daemonic presence that intimidates yet magnetizes the heart of the summoner.
Leonard’s role goes beyond that of a daemonic leader, He is also a spiritual trial, representing the temptation and challenge of navigating the path between light and shadow. His legends often reflect the internal struggle of those seeking forbidden knowledge, forcing them to confront their true nature and the consequences of their choices.

Offerings we offer when working with him: When working with Lord Lucifuge Rofocale we adorn his altar with black roses. We present candles and incense or oils in his preferred colors and scents. Musick is also a wonderful offering for him. We usually play dark ambiance music and dark melancholies that are reminiscent of the underworld. For tea, we offer him a Pu Erh, Lapsang Souchong, Orange, Rose Hips, and Hibiscus tea blend. We believe in offering demons tea as a sign of welcome and respect and these are the teas we offer to Lucifuge. Skulls and bones also make great offerings for him. As well as graveyard dirt and statues portraying the wealth and abundance of the underworld. We have offered him jewels before, and gold coins.

Being an Underworld Daemon he has incredible understanding of death, resurrection and rebirth. A Demon of darkness, who understands the deep and profound art of Necromancy and Execration Magick. He is a powerful spell caster and one who is gifted in the art of baneful and execration work. The dark spells that rise from his mind are of incredible and sinister nature. Lucifuge Rofocale is a daemon of incredible and beautiful darkness. One who is aligned with the deep and powers of the underworld. He is a demon who has strength and might and he knows how to command and use it. He is wise and one who has risen the ranks of the Underworld and now sits as ruler and head of the Underworld Council. He is the Prime Minister of Hell and the Underworld and one of the Ruling Royalty of the Underworld (Lowborn) demons.
Lucifuge Rofocale is a Daemon who understands the darkness. He is very at peace within its embrace and he understands the balance that one must take to walk through the shadows. He has no time or concern for those who dabble in the darkness with no real understanding or appreciation of it and its balance. He also has no problems striking down powerful lessons on those who would dabble. He is one who commands respect when working with him and he is one who demands that the darkness be respected by those who follow him. Those who treat is as a badge of honour or bragging right to how dark they can go he will show them what true darkness is, or ignore then if they are not worth his time. He is one who does not waste time and when approaching him it is best to know what it is that you wish to achieve through work with him.

His wisdom over these places is thorough and he can offer guidance and direction when walking through the darkness. He is not one though who will hold your hand. To walk with him means you will be working and you will be expected to learn the lessons upon opening each layer. He does not hold hands because he says no one will learn if he is always there to protect them. They have to face it alone and learn to full essence of what is beyond. He has walked the darkness of the Underworld and he knows it’s Labyrinths. Through the Black Labyrinth and the Dark Riddles of the deep he teaches those how to see what is not there and see the path before them. He can teach Clairvoyance and the awakening of psychic sight.
He knows the journey and the descent of the Underworld and the path of transformation and awakening. Those who descent to the underworld are never the same. They emerge new, revived, and also empowered in their path. They know themselves and they know the power that is within. All false illusions has been stripped away. He says though that the true nature of this journey is one that most would never take. This is because it would shake the foundation of their core and they would not be happy with what they had to leave behind. There is great sacrifice that comes from that journey and most are not prepared for it. They stay safe wrapped in illusion. He is hard to work with because he will strip one of their illusions and reveal the hard truth to them. He says if the truth does not shatter your world then it is just a comfortable illusion. Growth comes with pain and acceptance of that pain brings the transformation. It is not pain you enjoy either, it is pain that tests you and the nature of your soul, and it is different for everyone. That is where the transformation comes from. That is where the wisdom is found.
He is a very powerful and dark daemon, and one who brings incredible lessons for those who are willing. He is one though to approach with respect as he is ancient and he does not take kindly to disrespectful acts.
Appearance: Lucifuge Rofocale have a strong daemonic presence -He can be intimidating, He has piercing white/yellow/green serpentine eyes, that cut through the darkness. They are sharp and focused and he has an intense gaze. His hair is long and black and his skin is pale. He is tall and toned, though he is of a slimmer build than many of the Dark Lords. He usually wears black robes that are adorned with underworld symbols and symbols representing his rank and power. He has black horns with few green highlights in them and little black wings and a tail. He has razor sharp claws and he usually carries a staff with Him.
