There are those who see the planet not as inert matter spinning through cold space, but as a living organism -vast, breathing, conscious in ways that dwarf human perception. In this view, the Earth is not merely a stage for history; it is an actor within it. Its tectonic shifts are pulses. Its oceans are circulating currents. Its atmosphere is a whispering mind.
When energies accumulate -geological, psychic, symbolic- they must discharge. Volcanoes erupt. Fault lines rupture. Storms gather. To some esoteric traditions, these are not random accidents of physics but manifestations of deeper influxes: tides of force moving through both matter and myth.
In 2022, an unusual number of volcanic eruptions occurred across different regions of the world -from the Pacific Ring of Fire to remote island chains. Scientifically, these events can be explained through plate tectonics and long-term geological cycles. Yet within occult or mythopoetic frameworks, such convergences are read differently. They are seen as signs of pressure building beneath the surface of the world -both literal and symbolic. It signifies hidden forces, chthonic currents, primal intelligences associated with the underworld and transformation. Volcanic fire becomes the breath of these powers. Lava becomes the Dark Gods´ signature written in molten script across the land.
Mass events -pandemics, wars, social upheavals, cultural revolutions- often coincide with such symbolic readings. When societies undergo rapid transformation, myth rises to explain it. The idea of “Year One” -the beginning of a new doctrine, a new order, a new spiritual or ideological current- frequently emerges during periods of instability. The apocalypse, in its original Greek meaning (apokalypsis), is not destruction alone; it is unveiling.
In esoteric interpretation, the Earth’s convulsions can mirror humanity’s inner convulsions. As belief systems fracture and new paradigms push upward from the depths, it may feel as though something ancient is rising -a doctrine long buried, a forgotten current resurfacing.
If the planet is alive in any meaningful sense, it may be alive through interconnection: biosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere -a complex self-regulating system. In that framework, eruptions are not apocalyptic omens but part of the long metabolism of a dynamic world.
Whether one sees 2022 as geological coincidence or symbolic ignition, the deeper truth may lie in how humans respond. The real “rising” is not lava -but awareness. Periods of upheaval reveal fault lines not only in the Earth, but in thought. And every unveiling forces a choice: fear the fire -or learn from its light.
Volcano Cumbrevieja: From Sept. 19th/22 to Dec. 13th/22 (85 days) (Isla de La Palma, Spain). A super destructive event.
11 August´s re-activation:
The Cumbre Vieja volcano in La Palma roared again in the early hours of this Thursday (August 11th/22). According to the National Geographic Institute, up to 63 earthquakes have shaken the area of the eruption of the Tajogaite volcano, in La Palma, corresponding to a low-magnitude seismic swarm. During the month of July, a total of 245 earthquakes have been located in the Canary Islands, with a maximum magnitude of 3.6. Of all of them, only three have been felt by the population. More than 10 months after the start of the eruption and 7 since the end of the volcanic process, impressive incandescence can still be seen inside the crater. We remember that the lava reached over 1,200 degrees of temperature. Despite the fact that the eruption of La Palma officially ended more than 7 months ago, experts continue to carry out different studies in the vicinity of the volcanic cone. At the moment the National Geographic Institute reports these seismic swarms that occur normally within the posteruptive process in which this area of the island of La Palma is found. The old summit eruption began on September 19 and has continued for 85 days and 8 hours, it has been the longest on the island in 375 years. It is estimated that the eruption affected 1,628 buildings, leaving some 6,000 people homeless. home. Many of those neighbors who lost their homes live temporarily in prefabricated wooden houses. According to the National Volcanology Center or Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands (Involcán), the probability of a new volcanic eruption in the Canary Islands in 50 years is 75%.
10 Sptember´s re-activation:
